At Birds on Bikes, we want you to feel comfortable and confident in your cycling gear. We understand that buying cycling apparel online can sometimes feel tricky, especially when it comes to fit. If something is not quite right, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

Returns

You may return eligible items within 30 days of receiving your order. To be eligible for a return, items must be:

• Unworn, unwashed and unused
• In original condition
• With all tags attached
• Free from marks, odours, pet hair, deodorant, perfume, damage or signs of wear
• Returned with proof of purchase

Please try items on carefully. For hygiene reasons, padded cycling shorts, knicks, bibs, tights, capris and underwear must be tried on over clean underwear.

Change of Mind Returns

We accept change of mind returns on eligible full-priced items within 30 days of receiving your order, provided the item meets the return conditions above. For change of mind returns, the customer is responsible for return postage costs. Original shipping costs are not refundable unless the item is faulty, incorrect or required under Australian Consumer Law.

Sale Items

Sale items may be returned if they are faulty, incorrect, not as described or do not meet consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law. For change of mind returns on sale items, please contact us first. We may offer an exchange, store credit or refund at our discretion, provided the item is unworn, unused and returned in original condition.

Exchanges

If you need a different size or style, please contact us as soon as possible. Because we are a small-batch Australian-made business, stock may be limited. If the size or style you need is available, we can arrange an exchange. If the item is not available, we may offer a refund or store credit, depending on the situation. Return postage for change of mind exchanges is the customer’s responsibility.

Faulty, Incorrect or Damaged Items

If your item is faulty, incorrect, damaged or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible. Please include your order number, a description of the issue and photos where possible. If the item does not meet consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy depending on the circumstances. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will let you know whether your return has been approved. Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method. Please allow time for your bank, card provider or payment provider to process the refund. Shipping costs are not refundable for change of mind returns.

We will reply with return instructions. Please do not send items back without contacting us first.

Return Postage

For change of mind returns, return postage is the customer’s responsibility. We recommend using tracked postage, as we cannot take responsibility for items lost in transit. If your item is faulty, incorrect or not as described, we will work with you to arrange an appropriate solution.

Items That Cannot Be Returned for Change of Mind

For hygiene and practical reasons, we may not accept change of mind returns for:

• Items that have been worn, washed or used
• Items without tags attached
• Items marked by deodorant, perfume, make-up, pet hair or odours
• Underwear or intimate garments where hygiene seals or tags have been removed
• Custom, altered or specially made items, unless faulty or required under Australian Consumer Law

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement, refund or other remedy for a major failure, and to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
